A great alternative on pancake day — savoury tattie pancakes with cheddar and bacon, made with Upper Dysart Larder Farm Mash.
FARM MASH (255G)
150G GRATED MATURE CHEDDAR
45G SELF-RAISING FLOUR
2 EGGS
30G SPRING ONION
30G BACON LARDONS
1 TSP GARLIC POWDER
A PINCH OF DRY THYME
VEGETABLE OIL (FOR PAN)
SOUR CREAM (TO SERVE)
CHIVES (TO SERVE)

Fry the bacon lardons until crispy, set aside.

Add Upper Dysart Larder Farm Mash to large bowl

Add the cheddar cheese, flour, spring onion, bacon lardons, eggs, garlic powder and thyme to the mash.

Mix together well until fully combined.

Form mixture into 12 pancakes between 1-2cm in thickness.

Heat non-stick frying pan over medium heat, add a small amount of vegetable oil to coat the pan.

Pan-fry the pancakes in batches for approximately 5 minutes until they're golden brown and completely cooked through.

Serve with sour cream and chives.
