The Farm-to-Table
Vending Machine

Welcome to Upper Dysart Larder

Our farm shop is the home of fresh local produce along the Angus Coastal Route — mashes, tatties, soups, snacks, baked treats, locally butchered meats, gourmet meal packs and more.

Set on the family farm and overlooking Lunan Bay, Upper Dysart Larder stocks our own mash and tattie dishes and produce, alongside a handpicked selection of local and seasonal favourites to enjoy at home.

Come and enjoy a coffee with a view from our Caber Coffee machine, or a quiet moment while the children play in the sand pit, before stocking up on our signature Upper Dysart Larder mash, fresh meat and pies, and Scottish-made drinks, cheese and sweet treats from the self-service vending machines.

Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for weekly specials and inspiration.

We look forward to welcoming you to Upper Dysart Larder very soon!

The main vending machine at Upper Dysart Larder is a wall of small ‘lockers’ with windows, each containing different products — kitchen essentials, delicious dinners, sweet treats and more. Customers simply browse our lockers and then, using the touch-screen system, select what they’d like to buy by adding it to their ‘basket’ in a similar way to online shopping. Once ready, the customer then pays by cash or card at the same touch-screen, and the locker doors then immediately unlock in sequence, allowing the customer to pick up their shopping. Our team restocks any empty lockers throughout the day — so there’s always a full selection to choose from at Upper Dysart Larder.
Yes — while our vending machine farm shop (the Larder) is operated on a self-service basis via a touchscreen, we’ll always have staff on site during opening hours to assist you and manage stock.
Yes — we welcome well-behaved dogs and owners every day, and there’s a walking route for dog-walkers to enjoy along neighbouring country fields. Please note that dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
Our Larder has a self-service coffee machine that also makes hot water for tea and hot chocolate — and there are a range of cakes, pastries and other treats in the Larder to enjoy with a cuppa, in our outdoor and indoor seating areas. We also have the Larder Kitchen at Upper Dysart, serving an ever-changing menu of tasty hot food and drinks.
